The overriding concern is that publicity is not misleading and is sufficiently informative to ensure that clients and others can make informed choices.
In this case, the sole practitioner in question received a £10k fine and was barred from practicing (I suspect it would be much more for a larger firm).
A solicitor has been fined £10,000 and barred from working as a sole practitioner for allowing a misleading website to appear online purporting to suggest he ran an award-winning multi-national firm when he did not, and failing to take it down when asked.
